Teleweld, Inc. was founded in 1939 to service the railroad industry as a welding
contractor. Through the years Teleweld developed machines for its own use in
its welding operation and found that other contractors and the railroads
themselves had the same needs, therefore Teleweld became a manufacturer
of grinders, rail saws and other related equipment.
Based on its experience as a welding contractor and ongoing engineering
studies started in 1939, Teleweld developed the technology to produce
the first Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) Heater Cars that have been in
use by leading railroads since 1969.
Again based upon its welding experience, Teleweld recognized the need
for a portable field hardness testing device, The Telebrineller System. This
system is based on proven metallurgical knowledge supported by more than
fifty years of field experience.
Teleweld through its Railway Utility Company Division has been a leading
manufacturer of roller curtain destination signs for the mass transit industry
for over 50 years. Teleweld has the ability to design and fabricate whatever is
required.
Teleweld again through its RUCO Division is a leading supplier of Transit
Car Heaters, Cab Heater/Defroster, Circuit Breaker Panels, Electro-mechanical
devices as well as miscellaneous custom fabricated sheet metal products
to the Mass Transit industry
